Dr. Charogat :

Hi, and thank you for coming to JustAnswer.com with your question.

Dr. Charogat :

For how long has this been going on?

Customer:

3 years

Customer:

Sorry clicked on the wrong button on gender. I am female.

Dr. Charogat :

I'm assuming you've already had physical therapy?

Dr. Charogat :

Have you had any injections into the joint?

Customer:

Yes. But the pain keeps on coming back

Customer:

Yes, I had injections

Dr. Charogat :

Have you done both at the same time? Or just one of those at a time.

Dr. Charogat :

(As we chat I'm looking up the very latest information available)

Customer:

No didnt do both at the same time

Dr. Charogat :

I should say that all studies of forzen shoulder have been with small groups (under 200 people).

Dr. Charogat :

The studies seem to support doing both injections and PT at the same time.

Dr. Charogat :

Two things that can be done are surgery (which is not as effective as we would like it to be), or manipulation of the shoulder while you are under general anesthesia.

Customer:

is there any homeopathic medicine i can take?

Dr. Charogat :

The second has been effective but it is not controlled (ie you can't tell them if something hurts more than expected) so there is a bit more of a risk of a fracture or other

Dr. Charogat :

problems like it

Dr. Charogat :

There are times that they can try to do the surgery through a keyhole inscision.

Dr. Charogat :

It would be wrong for me to tell you what homeopathic remedies might work as all my knowledge of homeopathy (which is tremendously limited) is when I needed something for myself.

Dr. Charogat :

The only thing we learn about homeopathy in medical school is that it is a form of treatment that sometimes people use.

Customer:

okay, thanks very much

Dr. Charogat :

Would you like me to try and transfer this question to another expert here who might be able to help you with that part (I'm not sure exactly his training but I DO think I remember him telling me he has some training in homeopathy).

Dr. Charogat :

I would have to change this to a question/answer type session and he could see it when he logs on.

Dr. Charogat :

(I do want you to know that we only get paid once someone has accepted our answers)

Customer:

that's fine. i will get in touch later

Dr. Charogat :

okay.

Customer:

thanks very much

Dr. Charogat :

You can try putting at the beginning of your question "For DrThomas"

Customer:

okay

Dr. Charogat :

That way other experts who have the same amount of knowledge of homeopathy as I do won't take the question.

Dr. Charogat :

G-d Bless
