Customer Question

Hi, I have been feeling weird for a week or so - feeling sick, headaches, not sleeping properly but I put it down to stress. Now my period is 5 days late and I have had constant cramping for nearly 32 hours with little bleeding. Should I be worried? Thanks.

Dr. David :

have you been sexually active without birth control?

JACUSTOMER-wcc0tzrz- : Hi, myself and my partner have not had penetrative sex however, we are sexually active in other ways. I am not using any birth control.

bad anxiety can cause you to have irregular periods.

Dr. David :

have your periods been irregular before?

JACUSTOMER-wcc0tzrz- : No, my periods are usually very regular. The last time it was late was due to a family death. I'm not sure if it's with mentioning but my periods are usually very heavy for 2-3 days with bad cramping and then it stops. It feels just as painful now but without any bleeding.
Dr. David :

the cramping could be due to a uterine fibroid or ovarian cysts

Dr. David :

you should see your GP and get a routine gyn examination .

Dr. David :

your symptoms don't sound like anything bad is going on.

Dr. David :

it doesn't sound like you could be pregnant.
