Someone died in July 2014. He was found dead on his bathroom

Customer Question

Someone died in July 2014. He was found dead on his bathroom floor by the GP &2 Police officers. An Interim Death Certificate was issued and he was burried/cremated at the end of August 2014.
Since then his next of kin has been trying to get a final Death Certificate so that she can deal with probate. The Coroner's Office has been contacted on a regular basis over the last four months and she has been told that they are waiting on the Pathologist to do his bit. Her Lawyers have written to the Coroner's office and have had no reply. She is getting frustrated and don't know what to do . What would you advise to move the process along.

HI.
Sorry to hear about this.
Here is a suggestion.
The doctor is subject to the general medical council.
Put your request in writing, state that you do not expect to be further ignored, and that if you do not receive communication promptly you will file a complaint with the general medical consul.
That should get some action.
OK, so that is an initial answer….
