This is Dr. David
I am sorry you are having tightness of your knee.
how did you injure it?
did you do any heavy lifting or sports or straining?
have you had this type of knee pain before?
you could have bad arthritis in your knee
or you could be having gout inflammation in your knee.
you need to see your GP doctor to get you knee examined
and a knee xray
and blood test to check your uric acid levels to see if they are high.
high uric acid levels can be gout which can cause joint inflammation
you get uric acid from eating too much meat and proteins or drinking alcohol
which all can elevate uric acid levels in your blood and in your joints
do you have a GP doctor?
ice packs and ibuprofen are strong NSAIDs for knee arthritis pain.
there is not that much stronger than ibuprofen.
you can try naproxen sodium 220mg two pills twice a day.
but it is similar to ibuprofen.
for anything stronger, you have to see your GP doctor.
it depends on what is wrong with your knee
if it is bad arthritis it could take several days or weeks.
if it is gout, you need specific gout medications for your knee to get better.
make sure if you continue to take ibuprofen, you take it with food in your stomach and with plenty of fluids.
taking too much ibuprofen can upset your stomach and cause more strain on your kidneys.
so you have to make sure you drink lots of water when you take ibuprofen.
are you not willing to see your GP doctor?
you are welcome
I hope your knee gets better.
