If the CEA levels fail to come down after multiple cycles of chemotherapy, then it is likely that the treatment may not be effective
It would be prudent to look at other treatment options after talking to your oncologist in this situation

Thx. U see he started irinotecan October . Cea sept was 8 and then the cea for dec was 9.
He has 1 liver met 16 mm and 1 aortocaval
And 1 aortocaval node of 10 mm
Can the irinotecan treat this and also stop further metastases?
