Ye it is possible to have oveerdrainage from VP shunts if there was increased intracranial pressure in the ventricles.
More liekly explanation is a viral infection o the intestine --colitis.
This can cause persistent vomiting and diarrhea.
Usually improves over short period.
However, there is also risk of bacterial infection which will require antibiotics.
Bacterial infection will cause worsening symptoms, fever, even blood in stool sometimes.
You should see your doctor if your symptoms are still present.
