Dear Doctor/Nurse, My brother has been experiencing a loss

Resolved Question:

Dear Doctor/Nurse,
My brother has been experiencing a loss of feeling in his right hand and this has been getting progressively worse and worse over the past few days. He is not even able to open a packet of crisps or a bottle of water. He went to A&E yesterday and they told him that it was directly related to a fracture in his hip that he suffered approximately 7 years ago. At the time of his hurting his hip he was not treated correctly. The day that he fell over he went to the local A&E and was very abruptly told to go home and they told him that it was just a bruise and that he was wasting their time. A day later they telephoned apologetically and said that they had made a mistake with his x-rays and they had an ambulance waiting outside his house and he was immediately taken to hospital where they treated him. However, seven years on, when he went to hospital yesterday regarding his hand they had put on his files that his hip had been operated on when this was never done. All they did was put weights on him for a day or two and that was it.
My family and I are extremely concerned about him and we would be very grateful for any advice you might have. He is 34 years old and has three young children.
Your help would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Farouk Ghaffar
