Customer:

I am confussed as-

Customer:

1. On new report it says new adrenal left gland nodule ( but old report already had that so how is it new ?) that was classed as not being a met previously .

Customer:

2. New report -Upper lobe nodule remains unchanged but on old report there was no mention of a upper lobe nodule.

Hina,
Can you give me the link to the images or the reports again? I am not able to see the one provided by you.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Hina,
I went through both the reports dated August 14 and January 15.
Left adrenal lesion is mentioned in both the reports, however the size is not mentioned in both. This makes it difficult to interpret as to weather the size has increased or reduced. I would infer from this that the nodule is the same as prior report and there is no change.
The liver lesion and the node are said to have increased in size.
Ideally measurements should have been mentioned of the lesions which have increased in size.
You may talk to the radiologist or your doctor details.
I would be happy to read both the scans if you are able to uplad the images.

We were told last time that the adrenal node was not a

met, so I don't know if this the Same one as it says "new ".

Would there b any reason y measurements 2 nodules are not stated ?

Expert:  Ken replied 1 year ago.
If the lesion is not a metastasis than the measurement may not be given BUT in that case too if I were your Radiologist I would give all the measurements so that it is easier later to compare.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I'm thinking the same too .I may n doing guess work here but in the old report , he mentions the liver met and node sizes and says suspicious of metasates and was confirmed by a pet anyway .

bit this time he mentions the size increase in both but no size of the nodules and neither does he say suspicious of mets

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

But at end of report he does say ... Disease progression so I'm confussed

Expert:  Ken replied 1 year ago.
true,
He states that the lesion in liver appears to have increased. Hence he states that the disease has progressed.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

What do u think , can nodules that are mets be stated without sizes?

Expert:  Ken replied 1 year ago.
No, the lesion which are suspected of metastasis need to be measured and stated in the report.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Do u think these nodules are benign then ? But it is stated as disease progression

Expert:  Ken replied 1 year ago.
Progression is due to lesions in liver.
The nodules in adrenal gland appear to be benign.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

There was a typo error Apparantly there was 1 previous liver met only we were told . What about the sub pleural nodule which again has no measurement ?

could the radiologist have left the measurements

mdt team to see from images ?

Expert:  Ken replied 1 year ago.
I can not comment on weather he had left the measurements. All the measurements ideally need to be mentioned in a case of cancer . Subpleural nodule also should have been measured. It may be metastatic. Follow-up studies will help.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Can they still be mets and measurements r not stated?

Expert:  Ken replied 1 year ago.
I do not think so. If they would have suspected mets than they would have given measurements.
