Dr chip Spoke to clinic. They said don't know either way

Resolved Question:

Dr chip
Spoke to clinic. They said don't know either way serious or not needs monitoring .
I find that odd
Also they said if your anxious ultrasound Thursday. I took it
They said its 1.9 mm and very small they just said it needs monitoring. Do you think they know it's serious and are just waiting to grow ?? Or dosnt it work that way ?

Dr. Natasha :

Dr. Natasha :

Dr. Chip isn't online

Dr. Natasha :

please let me know if you want any help

Customer: Yes did you get my last
Customer: Not sure what's hapoening you went then this page came up
Customer:
Dr. Natasha :

Dr. Natasha :

are you still there?

Dr. Natasha :

I did see what you wrote- I think that I wrote on the other page

Customer: I can't see that now it's gone !!
Dr. Natasha :

ok

Dr. Natasha :

they cannot tell if it is cancer from an ultrasound

Customer: Could you repeat the answer ?
Dr. Natasha :

sure

Dr. Natasha :

they need to repeat the ultrasound in 2-3 months

Dr. Natasha :

to make sure it is not growing

Dr. Natasha :

and if it is, they will do a biopsy

Customer: The scan I had was ct with contrast. .
Dr. Natasha :

but renal cysts are REALLY REALLY common

Dr. Natasha :

right, they will do ultrasound

Dr. Natasha :

so they find it on CT

Customer: all the abdomen and liver were perfect normal
Dr. Natasha :

they do an ultrasound

Dr. Natasha :

then they repeat the ultrasound in a few month

Dr. Natasha :

we do this ALL of the time

Dr. Natasha :

renal cysts are super common

Customer: I'm guessing That the fact that the ct abdomen was clear. And the legion was il defined on ct and 1.9 cm only is a sign if serious it's very early ?
Customer: Ultrasound. Will show a syst. The consultant has said or a mass
Dr. Natasha :

you cannot tell from one study what exactly this is

Dr. Natasha :

which is why they need to do another type of study and repeat the studu

Dr. Natasha :

*study

Dr. Natasha :

it is very early, so this is a great thing

Customer: Ok but. It's early at that size if cancer and the ct abdomen in detail with contrast would have shown spread
Dr. Natasha :

that is correct

Dr. Natasha :

the ct would have showed cancer if it had spread

Customer: They find it on cat. Scan
Dr. Natasha :

they get much bigger before they spread

Dr. Natasha :

correct

Customer: they know it hasn't spread
Dr. Natasha :

so this is an early mass-

Dr. Natasha :

correct

Customer: And monitor it.
Customer: Ultrasound shows the cyst. If a mass they may biopsy if it grows
Dr. Natasha :

correct

Dr. Natasha :

you have got it :-)

Customer: Wow. I was giving up so worried at least I have a good chance of cure ???
Customer: At this size
Customer: But could it just be a simple kidney syst ??
Dr. Natasha :

yes

Dr. Natasha :

and yes

Customer: You sound like this is common. ? I'm 50
Customer: So if a syst they will leave it
Customer: if the worse they will just watch it and it's very small at mo very early 1.9 mm.
Dr. Natasha :

yes, this is very very common

Dr. Natasha :

about 1-2% of the population have renal cysts

Dr. Natasha :

that is a LOT of people

Customer: So I can relax ?
Customer: So I can relax
Dr. Natasha :

Yes, I would relax

Customer: I have normal everything else that's gotta be good.
Dr. Natasha :

whatever you have, they caught it early

Dr. Natasha :

and 99% of the time it is benign

Customer: So even if the worst. Curable ?
Customer: At this stage
Dr. Natasha :

yes

Dr. Natasha :

curable

Dr. Natasha :

you are pretty lucky :-)

Customer: Well I always monitor my health.
Dr. Natasha :

great

Dr. Natasha :

well, hang in there

Customer: Kidney removal. Is the cure I'm guessing
Dr. Natasha :

get back to me in 2 months after the second scan at the very latest :-0

Dr. Natasha :

usually yes- which is why we have two of them :-0

Customer: Or am I getting way ahead of myself here
Dr. Natasha :

:-)

Dr. Natasha :

getting WAYYY ahead of yourself

Customer: As I'm fit with a perfect c b c
Customer: Whats yiur guess don't worry I know it's just a guess no commitment
Customer: Or responsibility
Customer: So to finish.
Dr. Natasha :

?

Customer: Ct finds it. If it's small but can't define it
Dr. Natasha :

based on the probability, it is likely a renal cyst

Customer: So they use ultrasound to be careful
Customer: And then watch what happens
Customer: The ultrasound will show a fluid syst but if it's a mass I still shouldn't psnic.
Dr. Natasha :

correct

Customer: It could still be Benign
Customer: And most masses are benign
Customer: In the kidney.
Dr. Natasha :

correct

Dr. Natasha :

you need to hang tight ok

Dr. Natasha :

did I provide you with excellent service?

Dr. Natasha :

?

Customer: Yes. Excellent. So it won't kill me. ?
Dr. Natasha :

you monitor it

Dr. Natasha :

that is all you know I can say :-)

Customer: Just out of interest could it be kidney disease
Customer: Can I live normally with it at this size ?
Customer: Run etc ?
Customer: Keep fit
Dr. Natasha :

yes

Customer: To fit or kidney disesas
