I had my yearly liver check last week blood counts perfect they did a full abdomen ct with contrast.
Report read all normal not just liver the lot.
A note was made of a ill defined lesion on my right kidney
They told me to go back in 2 -3 months fir ultrasound. And not to worry.
I did worry
Kidney function tests all perfect.
My question is the report read 1.9 mm I'll defined lesion in right kidney.
Do they know it's cancer and are monitoring it or would they tell me that ?? I'm guessing they have too ??

kidney cancer is pretty aggressive, but renal cysts are SUPER common

so it is really standard of care to monitor you once they find something

they are doing the appropriate thing

they are having you come back within 60-90 days scan

Dr. Natasha :

if the scan shows any change, they will biopsy

but the VAST VAST majority of cases are fine
