Hi there, This is Dr Basu, Experienced Specialist. I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
Yes you are contagious.
You should be in isolation and wear a face mask.
Ideally you should be on TB medications for at least 2 weeks or when you do not have any more blood in your phlegm, you are not contagious any more.
Please discuss with your GP today.

Please can u give me a bit more detail as an close contact im asking advise on the people who live wiv him.. R my children ok play wiv otber children r they ok go school.. What do i need to do as his partner
The TB bacteria come out in your phlegm and with coughing they can be transmitted within 2 feet distance easily.
So any close contact should be avoided.
You need to wear a face mas at all times if you really need to interact with people.
Ideally, you should not see anybody till you received 4 drug treatment for at least 2 weeks.
And regarding your children, they can play with other children as long as they do not have any cough.
He has to have more test to see if it definitely tb but his right side lung is showing some infection he sweats every night but not hot to touch more like clamy sweats.. Would u think it more then likely be tb hes cough up blood specs few months ago but nighy sweats weight loss has been months
yes very good possibility and that is fully treatable.
Do you think i should take my children to be checked out asap my babys 16months also he has been in contact with his grandmother who has phimeunia does she have to be.checked to be safe?
Yes that is recommended.
What happens if my children have caught it my baby has been coughing im worried
they can be treated easily
antibiotics very effective.
Iv had my tb wen i was 15yrs and he has too so why has he caught it.. Does he need inform work friends hes in van for hours a day and he has had a cough for ages
TB bacteria can remain dormant in the body for many years
and then it can get active one day
that is the likely case.
It is better for him to take rest from work
will help with recovery.
How long will it take for him to get a final result has to his gps tomorrow for more tests only going off xray.. If its not tb what else could it be with them systoms
within a week
we spent at least 30 minutes on this chat --bad service?
are you sure?
I would be happy for u to tell me more iNto what it could be if not tb. OR if it is tb what should i do keep my children off school they ac little coughs
