Resolved Question:

I am nearly 80, and over weight. Lately I have been experiencing swollen feet, ankles and legs in the evenings. I am concerned because next week I am going on a 12 hour flight. Is there something I could take to reduce the swelling, especially after a long flight?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I take warfarin for atrial fibulation; flacanaide; bisoprolol; all for my heart. I have been having sciatic pain in the past, and chronic back pain. I have restless legs at night, but lately not many leg cramps at night. I sleep very badly.

-You can take a a short walk every hour or so during flight.
-You should avoid crossing your legs.
-You should avoid alcohol and sedatives, during flight.
-You can Flex and extend your ankles and knees frequently while you're seated
