This is Dr. David
this can be risky to drive by themselves to the hospital.
it is possible, if that is the only option to get to the hospital.
the right foot can be used to press on gas and break.
but best to have someone else drive or call an ambulance to bring them to the hospital.
The car is a manual so needs the clutch depressed also. Concerned about whether insurance would be invalid and what would happen if there was an incident en route.
that would depend on the insurance policy and the find print of the drivers insurance.
I would not recommend driving with an injured left ankle if it is a stick shift manual car
if they can't stand on the ankle, they will not be able to press down the clutch.
is this your situation?
do you have to get to the hospital?
It's not me, but thanks!
