This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

it sounds like you have a bad viral or bacterial lung infection.

Dr. David :

you should go to your GP or to the A&E department at your local hospital to see a doctor.

Dr. David :

you might need to go on a course of antibiotics to help fight this infection.

Customer:

Is it normal to get blood in both sick and discharge in this kind of infection?

Dr. David :

yes, you can get blood in the sputum when you have a bad viral or bacterial lung infection like bronchitis or pneumonia.

Dr. David :

it sounds like you have a bad sinus infection as well.

Customer:

Do I need to see a gp asap or is this something that is ok to wait and see how its goes?

Dr. David :

I would see a GP doctor as soon as possible.

Dr. David :

you don't want this infection to get worse and cause high fevers and land you into the hospital.

Dr. David :

I would recommend going to the A&E department to see a doctor right away

Dr. David :

and get started on a course of antibiotics

Dr. David :

you need blood work to check your WBC white blood cell count.

Customer:

Ok. I have a 3 year old daugher that I think may have courtsomething of me, is it vital that she goes with me?

Dr. David :

yes, it would be good for her to be seen as well

Dr. David :

if she is having symptoms.
