This is Dr. David
no, you shouldn't be this way.
it sounds like you have severe anxiety disorder symptoms.
you should be on other medications long with your diazepam.
have you ever taken an SSRI agent before such as zoloft or paxil or lexapro to help decrease anxiety before?
you need to be seeing a psychiatrist or a psychotherapist regularly with your severe symptoms as well.
I have seen a psychiatrist
that is good you have seen a psychiatrist.
did they offer other medications besides diazepam?
do you think the symptoms I am expereicning are from the diazepam?
I think they are from your anxiety symptoms not being well controlled.
I think your symptoms are from your anxiety and depression symptoms not being well controlled.
dizepam does not help with depression symptoms.
my pyschiatrist says he does'nt know how to help me. I do react to a lot of medicines
sounds like you need to see another psychiatrist.
what sort of "reactions" do you have ?
I have to see a patient right now.
I'll be back in a moment.
I faint and my temperature goes down too much, I was in hospital with what they said was anylyptic shock
what medication was that to?
I have been like that with all of what would have helped me
I had the same suicidal feelings when I was on prozac
what dose of prozac where you up to?
how long did you take the prozac?
sorry I cannot remember, I was on it for a few weeks or months I think
because prozac can take 4-8 weeks to start to work for you .
also there are new 2nd generation medications which can help the prozac work better.
such as aripiprazole, or risperidone or quetiapine
have you been on those medications before?
yes my doctor took me off them for the reactions they were causing me
how can I help you today?
what other questions do you have for me?
I was wondering if what I was expererincing was normal as I get very frightened by how I feel
it is probably for you most likely.
it sounds like you have been battling excessive anxiety symptoms for a long time.
I first started when I was suddenly taken off clonazepam a year and a half ago
did the clonazepam work better for you than the diazepam?
if the clonazepam works better for you, then maybe you should go back on that.
I get very frightened when I feel overwhelmed and panicky and don't know what to do, my doctor said she won't put me back on clonazepam
Could you tell me what the difference is between clonazepam and diazepam,
not much difference.
they are both long acting benzodiazepines.
they are like sister medications.
both in the same category.
very very similar.
I see, my cpn says to me to just relax and listen to some music but I find it hard to do
and try deep breathing exercises.
you can try cognitive behavioral therapy
and meditation as well to help decrease anxiety.
you should ask your GP to refer you to a psychologist.
to learn cognitive behavioral therapy
mental visualization therapy can help decrease anxiety as wel.
also exercise therapy can help decrease anxiety.
you should be exercising every day
I go out walking every day, I have fibromyalgia so that hinders things, I have been to a pyschiatrist
psychiatrist is fine.
Do you think the diazepam are working for me
but you should be seeing a psychotherapist or therapist every week or two as well
yes, I think the diazepam is working for you.
your anxiety symptoms would be much much much worse if you didn't take it.
