Results of 24hr urine collection to determine Cushing's syndrome:

Resolved Question:

Results of 24hr urine collection to determine Cushing's syndrome:-
Cortisol 53nmol - volume 4060ml - free cortisol 215nmol 24hrs.
Am I borderline Cushing's, as anything over 50nmol would suggest in some cases that I could be. I have had no info from my go and results came back 2 weeks ago. I am t2diabetic - insulin and metformin with Pecos and take spironalactone for bad facial hair, I also have hidradenitis suppurativa on doxyciclyne.

HI
That is not accurate.
What is the reference range on the free cortisol?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Hi,

Apologies for delay, but needed to check back through records.

There isn't any note of reference range on the free cortisol.

It just says 215 mol/24hr collection.

Sorry there is no more info other than what I have listed.

Kind regards.

It is the free cortisol that you have to go by.
The other value is not definitive.
This appears slightly high.
Ask your doctor for a suppression test at this point, and check the lab reference range.
OK, so that is an initial answer….
