Hello,
Dear customer
Welcome to justanswer.com and thank you for your question.
I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's discomfort. I will do whatever I can to help answer your questions:
No,Co-dydramol does not contain Amitripiline.
Co-dydramol tablets contain two active ingredients, paracetamol and dihydrocodeine.
Paracetamol is a simple painkilling medicine where as dihydrocodeine is a slightly stronger painkiller known as an opioid. So Co-dydramol works as a pain killer to relieve moderate to severe pain.
Amitriptyline is in a class of medications called tricyclic antidepressants.
Co-dydramol does not contain Amitripiline.
So as your friend who has dementia is allergic to amitriptyline.it is safe for her to take Co-dydramol.
Hope this helped.
My goal is to provide you with excellent service – if you feel you have gotten anything less, please reply back, I am happy to address follow-up questions.
Thank you *****
