This is Dr. David

I am sorry you are having a cough.

sometimes with asthma and with repeated lung infections, your airways can get swollen. this is called bronchiectasis.

you might need a course of steroids like prednisone or methylprednisolone to help decrease your cough symptoms.

if you are taking ACE inhibitor blood pressure medicaitons like lisinopril, this can cause cough as a side effect

if you have mold or animal dust or dander in your home, this can cause allergies and cough.

if you have bad asthma, and don't use your nebulizers and inhalers regularly, this can cause cough as well

if you are close to cigarette smoke at home, this can cause cough.

you should see a lung specialist (pulmonologist) and get a chest CT scan and pulmonary function test to look for other causes for cough as well

let me know if you have questions.
