Since the birth of my great grandson my granddaughter gets

Resolved Question:

Since the birth of my great grandson my granddaughter gets what I would refer
to as blood blisters quite large ones. Doctor shrugs this off as during pregnancy
everything was stretched to such a degree, the baby weighed in at 11lbs. Apart from being a worry and uncomfortable is there anything that she should be taking or doing to
prevent these occurring and does she just leave them alone. Tendency being to
squeeze them. Why is this happening the child is 2yrs old now.

This is Dr. David

where are these blood blisters?

on her vagina or vulvar area?

it does sound like she should leave them alone. she should not be squeezing them.

has she lost her pregnancy weight in the last 2 years?

I see.

the blood blisters could be due to lymphedema or blood congestion in her pelvis and vulvar area after her pregnancy.

she should ask her GP doctor to refer her to a gyn doctor and lymphedema specialist

she might need massage therapy or exercise therapy to help her decrease weight and to help improve circulation in her pelvic area.

helping her decrease weight and improve circulation with exercise can help

she might also benefit from self massage therapy as well to help improve blood flow and decrease blood status in the area.

these will help decrease those blood blisters from forming
