I felt faint just a few times at work but didn't do anything about it. I ha d6 years with nothing wrong with me, then felt ill.could it be connected after all that time to feeling faint at work.

There is a wide variety of possibilities here.
1)heart issues. These can commonly cause faintness/dizziness. You should have an EKG at least
2)inner ear issues. These are also common and can cause faintness
3)dehydration. This is easy to test for.
I would recommend an EKG, blood work, thyroid levels and comprehensive metabolic panel.
