Hello
There is no medicine for gaining weight, unless you have a condition that needs to be treated, such as over active thyroid.
Have you seen a doctor about this?
Can you tell me everything you eat on a typical day?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Relist: Inaccurate answer.
I heard from people that there are medication that can help put on weight
Expert:  DrRussMD replied 2 years ago.
No specific indication
Can you answer my questions?
Any medical problems?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
No. I don't have any medical problem and I eat very well.
Expert:  DrRussMD replied 2 years ago.
OK
There is NO medicine to make you gain weight if you don't have a treatable condition.
However, that does not mean you can't gain weight if indicated.
Who ever told you this was not an MD, obviously. What has your doctor said about your situation.
And, what is your height and weight.
And, can you tell me what you eat meal to meal on a typical day?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
My weight is 11 pounds and my height is 5.4 fits. I eat normall food like rice, chicken, cereals etc daily.
My doctor refused to recommend a medication and suggested I take milk shakes etc. but all these gives me pimples on my face so I stopped. And even didn't work.
Expert:  DrRussMD replied 2 years ago.
Im sorry but there is no way you could weight 11 pounds
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Sorry 11 stones
Expert:  DrRussMD replied 2 years ago.
OK
And let me clarify, you are 5 feet 4 inches?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Yes I am
Expert:  DrRussMD replied 2 years ago.
OK
So you are slightly over weight in terms of BMI
Why would you want to gain weight?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Because I don't look like I weigh up to 11 stones. My arms are skinny. My legs are all bones and also my shoulders. Only my tommy is slightly big. So that is why I need a little fat to cover me up as I am not happy with my look. Please if you can suggest any kind of food or particular drink/ beer that could help, I will be highly grateful.
Expert:  DrRussMD replied 2 years ago.
No
The reason you have this is lack of muscle tone.
I am not sure why you think beer would be indicated here....
What is needed is a correct diet and resistance weight training.
Specifically for the upper body but also some lower body.
Also, if this is difficult for you , physical therapy.
The Mediterranean diet is the most beneficial.
Protein drinks will not help, and are excessive and unhealthy.
Beer is unhealthy.
OK, so that is an initial answer….
