How long does it take USP to take effect?

Hi. We can continue after this if you'd like

Ritalin would usually take effect beginning about one hour after it was taken.

Ritalin LA is an extended release form which would still take effect in about an hour but would then be slowly released into the blood stream to keep a constant level.

The dosage for Ritalin is usually 10mg to 20 mg two or three times a day and for Ritalin LA it would be 20mg to 60 mg once a day.

Ritalin would have an effect for about three to four hours while Ritalin LA is designed to work continuously for 24 hours
