This is Dr. David

humidifiers are more useful in the winter time when the air is dry

in the summer in the UK, the air shouldn't be so dry

humidifiers have to be cleaned regularly or else they can harbor mold in them and spread mold in your room which can be more irritating to your lungs.

I hope you don't smoke. smoking can cause worse lung infections.

increasing your exercise and eating more fruits and vegetables in your diet can help your immune system.

drinking plenty of water and getting regular sleep is beneficial for your immune system.

taking probiotics can help your bowel's immune system and improve your overall health.

washing your hands frequently can help prevent infections.

keeping your asthma under control with asthma medications can help

you might need a chest CT scan to look inside of your lungs.

if you have bad aspiration of fluids trickling into your lungs or post nasal drip from your nose down your throat to your lungs, this can cause infections as well and has to be addressed to prevent future infections.
