This is Dr. David

the only way you can tell if you have scabies is to see your doctor and get a skin examination.

thyroid problems can cause dry skin and crawling sensation on the skin

nerve damage from diabetes can cause crawling sensation on the skin.

skin fungal infection can cause itching and crawling sensation

bed bug bites or fleas in the home from animals which come in and out can cause itching and bites and crawling sensation on the skin

psychological disorders can cause crawling sensations on the skin.

do you have a GP doctor you can see?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

could it be scabies, and if it is what do I do?

Expert:  Dr. David replied 2 years ago.
scabies is a rare skin infection

there are treatments for it you can get from your GP doctor

such as permethrin topical cream or lotion which can kill scabies.

but you have to see a GP doctor to get diagnosed.

are you willing to see a doctor?

Should it be scabies, how long does it take for visible signs of their presence appears? What precautions should I take?

Expert:  Dr. David replied 2 years ago.
you should wash your body with soap and water daily

you should wash all of your bedding and towels in hot bleach if possible.

you should wash all of your clothes in hot bleach water if possible.

When first infected, usually two to six weeks are required before symptoms occur

Thank you.

I will try to get an appointment asap. I am with friends in Stoneleigh so I will search for a clinic there. Can you refer me to anyone?
