I am sorry your husband has been having these issues.
his symptoms could be due to many possible causes.
he could be having small blood clots causing TIAs or transient ischemic attacks which can cause temporary neurological symptoms such as temporary memory loss, weakness, unsteadiness of gait or falls.
short term low blood sugar levels can cause temporary memory loss or falls
it sounds like he most likely has poor blood vessels which can cause poor circulation in the brain and cause memory loss and symptoms as well
a D dimer blood test can show if he has increased risks for blood clots
a MR Angiogram can check the blood flow in the brain.
he needs testing of his heart with cardiac echocardiogram to check for heart function as well.
he might benefit from aricept or namanda which could help treat early brain dementia symptoms
