Hi there,
Welcome to Justanswer! I am Dr.Customerand pleased to help you.
It will reveal most probably nothing. It will be done only to exclude malformations or (sorry) tumors, which are not to be expected in your age.
Pain during sex mostly is caused by inflammation or tension of the pelvic floor.
I wish you all the best!

Would it reveal any inflammation caused by PID if there was any??
Expert:  Dr. Gehring replied 2 years ago.
No, it wouldn't, if its a MRI scan.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
So how would this be diagnosed?
Expert:  Dr. Gehring replied 2 years ago.
Sorry, I know a lot about radiology, and this was a radiology- question; please ask this new question a gynaecologist.
Thank you!

I answered your radiology- question and thank you for a friendly feedback.
I would be happy to know what the scan showed!

That's new! But here too you will see malformations, tumors and swelling as well as fluids in the pelvic area in case of heavy inflammation.
