Last week I felt ill and feverish and just full of cold.

Resolved Question:

Hi,
Last week I felt ill and feverish and just full of cold. On Friday morning I woke up with a hard lump underneath my jaw bone and it really hurts when I touch it. I now feel fine and don't feel ill at all really and can eat etc.
Some say it could be a blocked salivary gland or a bacterial abscess?

Yeah the fever has gone how I feel fine. I do have a bit of a phlemy cough still

What do you think it is ?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 1 year ago.
It sounds to me like just an upper respiratory infection it isn't uncommon to get swollen nodes

Thanks for putting my mind too rest a little.
You think it will be unlikely to be cancer?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 1 year ago.
very unlikely. cancer nodes would be hard, non tender and not moveable
