hi mate results here

Hi What is your medical question?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Hey mate--I'm here now
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just got this and they took the payment čśÉ
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Anything more we need to discuss Mark?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Lol your getting my pension early. čśëčÜ┤well why your on in convinced that I'm ok now thanks to the high wbc explanation
But is 3.2 -3.6 good enough to fight stuff or are some people built like that I don't get ill often. At all and I heal quick
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Obviously your white count has the ability to "rise to the occasion," so to speak mate. I think a lot of the infection or no infection has to do with genes. I haven't had to take an antibiotic in over 30 years. The white count only needs to rise when there are certain infections--for example, a lot of time strep throat or sinusitis or ear infection doesn't rais the white count anyway

You should just put this concern to rest
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Oh so it sits where the body wants it and some bodies sit Lowe than others ?
With the other blood counts all good mine has picked 3.1 -3.6 as the resting place. Then goes to 4 or 6 if s particular infection takes place. ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Yes and that's why the lab values always have a low to high normal range--nobody's exactly the same. As for when it rose, you might have had something like the flu but all in all there's nothing I worry about with your WBC values
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I too never need antibiotics. Or drugs. My doc says your good off you go.
He agrees with you on wbc. I got flu last Xmas full flu better in 3 days no drugs that must be reassuring ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Your immune system is just fine mate
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Strangely enough the Harley street doc who does the bloods just emailed me saying all fine mark the wbc is the same as ever iron is tiny high but nothing to follow up liver very very good.
But he's not as good as you mate !!
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Well, at least he agrees with me--one more specialist that's come over to my side mate
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm sure you guys with all your expertise would yell by now if I wasn't tip top ?
6 months re test ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I never yell mate and so far you've never given me reason to.

I personally would only do standard blood work on you one a yearly basis--I see no reason to do it in six months
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My doc says it's overkill and it shows the dips and highs we all get in our c b c if we look every 12 weeks it's anxiety causing. He said I check mine every year only as I would see changes
Have a great weekend my friend.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
You too mate--make sure your pension is well funded
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Lol is he right would everyone see changes if bloods regular
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Nobody ever stays the same with blood work--there can be slight changes even week to week.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Then I'm good and I'm
Off to bed £1.2 mil dollars in fund. Bloody hard work to get it there. !!!
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Well since I'll probably outlive you you can just make me the chief inheritor in your will
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Now I am
Panicking !!! You said I make the 80 s !! Lol seriously last point do you guys see a pattern in the results ie that shows a pic of longevity of life ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I plan to get to 100 mate. No distinct pattern to look for--more a matter of blood pressure, physical exam, etc. There are only flags with the blood work like high cholestrol or blood sugar.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
90 over 60. Bp
Trygliserides 0.5 colestrol is good. Guess il take 80 ? You will live forever !! Excellent on its way pal.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Actually I'll be like Sherlock Holmes who lived into his 120's and tended bees in Sussex--I already am ordering the apiary equipment mate. 80 will be a breeze for you

Last one pal.
As I want to enjoy the weekend now and have a glass of wine !
Lol. No bone marrow prob the a l p etc tell you that ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Nothing in any of the labs says there's anything wrong with your bone marrow mate
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
So that's it forget the wbc it's working fine I feel great !
No more bloods ??? Not a good idea. For me
To finish if it were bone marrow it wouldn't be there at 3.1 3 years ago and go up and down and I'm still here fine ? Is that good logic and the bloods would show bone marrow prob. !??
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
That's it--end of story.

Not only would the white count have gone a lot lower, so would the hemoglobin, hematocrit, and the platelet counts
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Which have all been fine ? You've seen all the results so closing the door ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
All those counts have always been fine so the door has been shut for years

Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Really--truly--absolutely fine
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Last panic non hodgkins ? I'm guessing all else in c b c would be out ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Very much so Mark. The white count would be elevated and the differential would be way off. You really are milking this for all it's worth my friend

Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just keep me tip top. ! Lol
I'm now convinced that's a good c b c for a 50 year old. My haemoglobin is always good ! 161 that's a good marker I'm told ?
With the liver ok I'm having a glass or two
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
The haemoglobin is great and yes to the glass or two
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thank you.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Pleasure as always mate
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi chippy well here's a thing I was knackered last week so I got them to redo the results today.
After a restful weekend. Wbc 4.5. Lymphosites 1.4
Iron 28.2. Guess you were spot on mate.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Knackered how Mark?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No sleep for 3 days working 24 hours !
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
So why the labs?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Pre booked. 3month check. So I went anyway but was very tired and stressed. The test today was all perfect normal so you my friend were spot on
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
OK--thought maybe you asked for the tests. My bad. So move on mate--we're shooting for 80 but probably you'll make it well beyond that which means I can't retire on your pension for a while yet
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I asked for the retest today pal I told em I was run down last week. Il send you the new numbers but that's good isn't it ? I was run down ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Very good on the numbers my friend
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
So as you said it does rise up and down when needed. ?? Do you think the run down dropped it a bit lower than normal ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Dropped what a bit lower?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Friday 3.2 today 4.05. Lymphocytes 1.0 today 1.4
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Not sure what you mean Mark. You said something about a drop but your white count went up?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I meant the drop on Friday because I was tired. ? And now I'm rested it has risen
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Yes--that can happen but all in all your white cell system is fine
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes a agree !! Lol it has gone up and you said it goes up and down but mine is naturally low normal am I getting it at last pal ? Lol
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
To paraphrase Henry Higgins, "By Jove, I think HE'S got it."

Pull out the stopper, and let's have a whopper..............

Sorry mate I was in My Fair Lady idiom there
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
So it's working ok ? As you said
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
It's working just fine--off with the worry
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Cheers only
One out was phosphate at .82 is that ok.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
That's fine, too
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
All rest except ggt 7 under I'm guessing that good. Are all perfect
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Perfect and hopefully no more tests for a year mate
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No chance
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Good
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
They keep sending me to Dr David ?? !!!!
Mate I'm feeling sick and achy like a mild flu temp 36. Help
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Need to start out a new question with FOR DR CHIP ONLY mate.

Tell me all about it
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Not my week. Il just pay you a bonus.
Felt achy at work and queezy. A bit cold my temp is 36 but I feel quite strong been sick once gurgly belly !!
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Any sore throat, cough--anything else?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No. Just nausea and achy mate. Crap week. Especially after my good bloods !!!!
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Sounds like the flu mate. Tamilflu can help shorten the course if it's taken within 48 hours of the start of the symptoms and zinc lozenges can also help

But for the most part it's rest, fluids, take two aspirin and call me in the morning
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's just the stomach mate I feel not too bad no sore throat no runny nose. Stomach flu ? You guessing ? No stomach pain either.
Just crap luck ?
My bloods say I'm ok though not serious ?
Thanks
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Could just be a stomach virus then mate. Nothing serious though. Even with great blood work we still can get broadsided from time to time
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
To many hours at work mate. Sitting on trains with thousands of people wish I was in Florida.
But il survive ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
You'll survive and I won't get your pension for at least another 30 years mate
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just feeling sick anything I can do ??? To relive the nausea
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Il read about multiple universes then mate.
Not serious ? And thanks again chippy
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Nothing serious my friend
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Right chippy. Working on my Mac in bed
Feeling a little better diarea all day no pain though and a little nasea I'm trying to sip water is that all I can do. Still ache
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Just sips of water--no real fluid replacement?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Not yet mate I was sick in the night that's passed now I'm scared of being sick drink more ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
For diarrhea the main thing is to keep up with the fluid and electrolyte loss mate so it really means lots of juices and GatorAde. Usually these things pass in a very few days
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes well I'm better than the mess I was last night not pleasant are they ?
But apparently very common in autumn I have not had the craps since 1997 !!! I've got electrolyte replacement in my water my wife just put some in mate. !!! Just drink plenty ?
Il be ok ? My immune good ? Have a good night I won't. Lol. Bonus on way.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Drink as much as you can and then some mate. And you'll be fine--you're immune system is tip-top
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Doc checked me over this morning through my work insurance said tummy was soft all normal. Just stomach flu. Poxy thing. He said my blood numbers were better than his !!! Lol he's 40
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Hope he's got a good pension like you
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Lol. Il be ok ?
My numbers are fine ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.

Hi chippy
40 hours in no skin soreness no sickness tiny bit of diarea left 1 all day.
Drinking. Got wind and a slight wheeze after eating I'm only having toast or mashed potatoes small I'm guessing it's the gut and bowel recovering the wind ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Not sure what you mean by wind mate?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Like wind moving around the bowel farting lol
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
OK. Just your bowels readjusting to the viral insult but it sounds like you're well on your way to being just fine
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yep. Gas and the odd queeze. I'm guessing the vowel takes a fair while to settle can I start taking my Dailey probiotic again ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Yes that would be an excellent idea.

And usually the "vowel" settles down from an "e" to an "a."
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Texting on an iPhone. At 6ft 3 and 184 pounds It's a little small mate.
How long a week to resettle.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I think things will be back to normal in one to two days
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Good immune ? 48 hours
Cheers ***** ***** on route
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Great immune mate
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Nasty virus though ism in solitary in the house lol. Are they common in USA as well
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Very common mate. And when someone asks me if there's "something" going around, I say, it's not like the viruses pack there bags for a few weeks and then come back to town to mill around--they never leave town in the first place
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ah. Does that mean I was unlucky as I havnt had one for years or that you are saying I'm more probable to get one ???
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Just in the wrong place at the right time--we all get these from time to time and no one's more likely to get it than anyone else
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Well I guess your right mate good enough for me. Till next time the trouble with me mate is every tiny thing I ask a doc
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Well just stick with me mate and we can probably save you a fair number of unnecessary trips to your doctor
