Hello. I'm Dr. Phil, licensed and practicing internist. Excellent service is my goal.
thanks for this question
The symptoms come on pretty quickly after infection and this certainly sounds like an infection
It generally starts in the urinary tract and goes to the kidney
could also be a stone.
You need a urine sample run for infection/blood/stones ASAP
ibuprofen won't hurt you at all

it's 5 a.m. so I can't see a doctor for quite a while yet. I haven't been to bed.

if I got infected late last night/early hours - would the back pain have waited until 8pm the following evening to manifest? I literally have no other symptoms.

and I'm also at the tail end of my period, so even the blood doesn't confirm anything.

Yes it could take that long Just go to ER
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I don't think I can get to ER/A&E right now. I can't drive and there are no buses at this time.

Plus, even if I was there - I would most likely be sitting there for hours before anyone will even see me.

I really am stuck at the moment.

Will it be alright if I go to bed and then visit the GP tomorrow? It's too late to book an appointment, I'll just have to go there and wait.

How long til you can go? How many hours?
