Customer Question

This is Dr. David

if the blood sample was drawn traumatically or if the tube was left at room temperature for too long of a period of time, this can artificially increase the hemolysis index

high lipemia index can be a sign of high fat or high triglycerides in your blood

if you had your blood draw after a meal, this can cause higher lipemia index

if you have high blood triglycerides or high cholesterol levels, this can cause higher lipemia index

your blood test and blood cholesterol levels should be checked fasting first thing in the morning before any meals

did you have your blood checked after a meal?
