I have a High Cholesterol level of 8.9 . I have been given

Resolved Question:

I have a High Cholesterol level of 8.9 . I have been given Atorvastatin 40mg per day. My ratio of good to bad cholesterol is 6.7. Will this limit my life expectancy. I am 35 years old and I am worried I wont live into my 50's. Can you help?

No it will not limit your life expectancy
That is if you take the proper action
1)take the medication. I agree with it and it will limit your long term risk.
2)make dietary changes. Get the book "eat to live" by Joel Fuhrman. It is as close to a perfect diet as you can get
3)exercise 30 min 5 times per week at least. Cardiovascular exercise where you get your heart rate about 120-140.
All of this combined will help you lead a normal life with normal expectancy
