Is it ok to take 10mg of amloipine and 40mg of simvastatin daily. My gp will only prescribe 20mg simvastatin.

Hi. There's a risk of something called rhabdomyolysis and possible kidney damage to the combination of both amlodipine and simvastatin so that's likely why your doctor won't prescribe the 40 mg of simvastatin Let me know if you need any more information please
