Dad just been told he has polyps and nodular mucosa with difficult distension as patient unable to retain air in stomach. What does this mean in laymen's terms please.

Thanks for this question1)polyps in the stomach are not necessarily worrisome. Usually they are benign2)nodular mucosa means bumpy skin in the stomach. Also probably benign3)unable to retain air means that the valves that hold stuff in the stomach are probably faulty. Not surprising at age 89. Overall, this seems relatively normal for 89
