Customer Question

Hello, I have a lump under my left ear for a year or so. It doesn't hurt and it feels like something hard is inside. I don't want to visit a doctor but my girlfriend insisted on having this checked as I am starting to develop a kind of similar thing under
my right ear. I also have photos if you would like to have a look. I would appreciate any advice on what you think these might be and if they need to be removed. Thank you in advance.

This is Dr. David
you do need to visit a doctor and get an ultrasound of the area to see what it is.
there are many things it could be
it could be a subcutaenous cyst or a subaceous cyst.
it could be a swollen cyst in the upper parotid salivary gland.
it could be a swollen posterior auricular lymph node.
only after an ultrasound and examination by a doctor will they tell you if it needs to be removed or not.
having been there for a year or so, doesn't sound like it would be cancer
that is good it doesn't hurt.
but you still need to see a doctor to get an ultrasound and exam
let me know if you have questions.
