My wife has just stepped on a rusty nail which has gone into

Resolved Question:

My wife has just stepped on a rusty nail which has gone into her foot. It has stopped bleeding. She had a tetanus jab around 15 years ago - does she need another jab urgently?

Hello from JustAnswer.
Since it has been 15 years since her last tetanus shot, she does need another shot. It does not need to be done emergently, but it should be done within the first 24 hours after the injury. So, the person does not need to seek care in the middle of the night, but should contact their doctor once the office opens or be seen in a Walk-In clinic or Immunization clinic.
