Interaction of Ibuprofen with oncology medications?

Resolved Question:

A 90 yr.old female relative is staying with us. She is taking Letrozole 2.5mg once daily, and Levothyroxine 50 micrograms once daily, for oncology-related disease (breast).

She broke her wrist some 5 months ago, and is suffering from chronic wrist pain (some numbness at finger tips). She has been given exercises by her physiotherapist, who now recommends an X-ray. Her GP is not available for at least a week.

Question: 200mg/daily Ibuprofen gives her almost total relief from discomfort. Is there any possible adverse interaction between this medication and the Letrazole/Levothyroxine?

She would like to continue on this regime until she sees her GP.

Thank you.

Hi there, I am pleased to tell you that there is no adverse interaction between Ibuprofen and Levothyroxine and Letrazole. If the patient profits so much from this medication, there is no objection against it. She should eat before taking Ibuprofen and stop as soon as she develops stomach discomfort. All the best and a happy New Year's Eve!
