I have a few existing health conditions- partial ACTH deficiency,

Customer Question

Hi. I have a few existing health conditions- partial ACTH deficiency, and occasional gout. I have also just been diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia which is being investigated for a cause. Over a period of time my fatigue and muscle pain has been getting worse, and I now have daily pain in my upper legs, lower and middle back, and upper arms, despite my blood sugar being stable. I also get chest pain, breathlessness and palpitations, which are sometimes painful, mainly when exercising. i also get light headed, and sometimes have balance issues, and get twitches in my leg muscles and random nerve-like/ pinpricks/ itching pains in my head mainly at night/ when I am tired. I have had exercise test, echocardiogram and stress MRI, all OK although some T wave inversion but cardio says is just me. Not expecting a diagnosis given the complexity of all this, but my question is whether I should be seeing anyone in addition to my endocrinologist?

Thanks for this question. No I don't think so.An endocrinologist is the by far the best doctor for this situation.I think you should stick with that.

I have tightness in my chest and weakness/ pain in my legs whenever I do anything strenuous, or walk uphill. Can this be caused by an endocrine condition?

Hi Nick. Yes, it could be. A cardiac stress test should be done though to rule out serious cardiac problems
