My son in law suffered a spiral fracture of tib. and fib. on

my son in law suffered a spiral fracture of tib. and fib. on dec7th, had a plate and screws in serted Dec 13th. cast removed 28th January, still non-weight bearing. BUT, when he stands on his good foot his fractured leg goes blue from toes to mid calf. surely this is not right?

Yes, that is not correct.
he needs a doppler ultrasound scan of the fractured leg to check for proper blood flow
he could have pinched arteries from his hardware and his muscles contracting when he is lifting up his left which cuts off blood flow into his lower leg causing the blue color.
a doppler ultrasound of the leg can check for proper blood flow into his leg in different positions.
his doctors should be able to order this test for him
