My husband has just received an abnormal result on the bowel

Resolved Question:

my husband has just received an abnormal result on the bowel cancer screening test after initially receiving an unclear result . As I said in an earlier question he was told a month or so ago he had a small bleeding pile. He had no lumps and no aches and feels well. This is still frightening and he is going to be offered a colonoscopy. Why should this be so if he was told by his GP he had a small pile? Do all people with piles have colonoscopies?

Oh ok. This is not a huge deal. Many things can cause a false positive like hemorrhoidsHe should have a colonoscopy now to be sure but don't get too anxious yet

2 years ago he had the same test and has had 3 tests so far as routine testing all which were normal so what would be the chance of anything developing within that 2 year period ?
