Hi and welcome,You are most likely suffering from peripheral neuropathy, That is your sensory nerves causing this burning and pins and needles sensation. I would suggest to use capsiacin cream over the area which can improve your symptoms and visit a pain physician and discuss about TENs Therapy or nerve blocks so that you can get relief from symptoms. Meanwhile get your HbA1c test to check your blood sugar status as diabetes can cause this problem and get nerve conduction studies to find out the cause. Exercise regularly, quit smoking , decrease alcohol intake and eat healthy balanced diet.

This is Dr. Davidin some patients very sensitive skin can be a sign of fibromyalgia. like Lyrica (gabapentin) or Cymbalta (duloxetine) or Savella (milnacipran) can help patients who have fibromyalgia and could help your should first consult with a neurologist and see if you need a nerve conduction study or a small nerve biopsy to see if your nerves are not working properlysometimes psychiatric disorders can cause you to be overly sensitive to touch and cause pain sensations to be overly active as well.have you consulted with a neurologist about your pain in your back?have you been checked for fibromylgia? this can often include symptoms of disorientation, also trigger points close to joints which can cause pains as well.
