Hi there,This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.Sounds like atopic dermatitis from enviromental allergies. You can try topical hydrocortisone ointment OTC twice daily for 10 days. If worsens, then there can be possibility of bacterial infection as well which will require prescription medication. Best wishes,It was my pleasure to help you today. If I have answered all your questions, Please rate my response Excellent (click on the 5th star on top). Please bookmark my profile for fast, reliable authentic answers! This is the link to my profile:http://www.justanswer.com/medical/expert-mysticdoc/

Helloeczema [atopic dermatitis] is not from environmental allergies as far as we know.See this write up from the Mayo Clinichttp://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/eczema/basics/causes/con-20032073This is a two day old rash, can be fungal, autoimmune, infection, true allergic reaction, etc.Need a picture to be more precise. You can attach a picture here.I am a double board certified US doctor.Find me here anytime. Please click a positive on this post.

This does not look like atopic dermatitis. It looks eithera. infectious [fungal or cellulitis]. That would be painful. Fungal would itch.b. Allergic, as if you were exposed directly to something, internally or externally. This might or might not itch.I would have this looked at before it progresses or resolves. Urgent care or your doctors office is fine if he can get you right in. please click a positive rating [hopefully excellent—that’s how we are paid, per rating]. If you forgot something, come back. I am here daily.
