Ok. Pleasse let me know once you see the pictures
Expert:  Dr.Amita replied 1 year ago.
I have seen the images. It seems that the tonsil bed is inflamed and swollen appearing as inflamed bump.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What is the tonsil bed please?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Shall I do something about it?
Expert:  Dr.Amita replied 1 year ago.
It is the tissue over which the tonsil is placed.Do you still have symptoms of sore throat?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I dont have. I had tender lymph nodes in the area of the sore throat but not anymore.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Shall i do something? I am scared it is cancer
Expert:  Dr.Amita replied 1 year ago.
If sore throat has resolved it would be better to have this seen by a doctor who may take a swab test to rule out any infection.
Expert:  Dr.Amita replied 1 year ago.
Do not worry about this being a cancer. This is most likely related to the sore throat you had.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I had a swab and culture. No bacterial infection
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can this be subethilian lymphoid tissue?
Expert:  Dr.Amita replied 1 year ago.
Fine.As I said earlier. This is most likely related to the sore throat you had as viral infection can cause the tonsilar bed to get inflamed. This is likely to improve on it's own within couple of weeks.
