you should keep a food diary of what you eat to see what foods causes worse symptoms. you may have to try to avoid lactose milk sugar or gluten wheat protein for 1-2 weeks and see if your symptoms get better
you should also see your GP doctor about your loose stools
and get your stools checked for microscopic blood
in the USA, patients above age 50 need a screening colonoscopy every 5-10 years to look for early colon cancer.
in the UK, your GP doctor can order lab tests to check for microscopic blood in your stool.
