Hi and welcome.

Opacity in the lung can be due to any pathological process in which lung spaces are filled with fluid, blood ,pus or cells . There can be number of causes for this opacity including infections, pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung abscess, cyst, or even a tumor. This need further evaluation by sputum culture and CT scan to exactly find the cause and treatment would be given accordingly. Cough with sputum with such opacity is most common presentation of pneumonia and it is treated with antibiotics.
