Can you interpret my thyroid test results? My TSH is 2.96

Customer Question

Can you interpret my thyroid test results? My TSH is 2.96 and T4-V is 12. I am currently taking Thyroxin 25 mikrog (2 per day). Is this normal and should I continue with this medication?

You are still hypothyroid.

TSH optimally is more like .8 to 1.

You should have a TSH test in 6 weeks, and slightly increase the dose if it is still this high.
