Hello

You can't say exactly what altitutde might put you into a fib.

It is the deprivation of oxygen.

The average altitude in NM is 5700 feet

If you are at sea level, or near it, this is a significant change and can be

too high.

You will need to see why your cardiologist does not thing you are a candidate for ablation.

Here is a good article on who is a candidate for ablation.

One reason would be if meds don't work, or if you can not tolerate medications.

This is Dr. David

I am sorry you are having stabbing pain in your right calf.

stabbing pain and swelling can be a sign of a blood clot also called a DVT or deep venous thrombosis.

this would need to be checked for by an ultrasound at your local ER emergency room.

or your pain can be from a pinched nerve in your leg or electrolyte problems.

you need to see a doctor for evaluation and physical exam and blood testing and an ultrasound of your leg

do you have an ER or hospital or primary care doctor you can see right away?

let me know if you have other questions.

if done for now, please leave positive rating of 3-5 stars so I can get credit for helping you today

we only get credit for helping clients after positive feedback

you can always reach me directly with "a question for Dr. David" in the medicine or oncology categories if you have other questions
