Dear customer,

Where is the constriction? What is weight that was lost and in what duration? What are the memory problems? Any other associated symptom? Any daily medications? Which surgery was done? Was any other investigation done such as complete blood count? Was there a decrease in the hemoglobin level?

Thanks.

Was in the small intestine, weight loss was 10kg, memory problems ranges from confusion , moodswing, being emotional, irritability, and difficult to understand things. Surgery done was Laparotomy.
Blood count was a bit low but not that bad to cause confusion. After her surgery she was placed on 0.5mg risperdal and iron tablets with fish oil and some multivitamin

Dear customer,

These symptoms are unlikely to be due to malabsorption in view of the normal blood counts and also constipation. However the causative factor for these symptoms needs to be investigated for and then treated. Losing weight without trying is a warning symptoms of an underlying disorder. This weight loss along with other symptoms may be due to an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), diabetes, depression, liver disease, cancer, or neurological disorder. Please consult a good internal medicine physician who will do an examination and relevant investigations based on the examination. He/she may then refer him to a specialist based on the results of the investigation.

Take care.
