one and off for a few years. A few years ago the area was darker but it's never really gone away,

this could be a sign of anemia or hypothyroid

That is interesting

However, rarely are things totally symmetrical.

So I'm not surprised it is one side

Also, there are certain times things are worse i.e hurts more - does that affect the diagnosis?

haven't worked out whether it's down to standing longer, walking more etc.

But for sure the marks and pain go up and down
