This is Dr. David

sorry you had nail trauma

what happened to your toe?

trauma to your toe and foot can cause bleeding under the toe nail which can turn the nail back.

this bruising can take weeks to months to get better.

Hi DavidI am playing tennis for the past few weeks. It might be because of the shoe which I am wearing.Toenail and other nail have turned into black.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

yes, a shoe tennis shoe can cause rubbing and bruising

some people drag their toe to slow down in tennis and this can cause bruising of the toe

you should try a cold pack or ice pack on the area to help decrease pain and swelling

but the bruise below the toe nail can take weeks to months to get better.

try elevating the toe and foot as well

that can help
