Vomiting up bile On Friday night I got a sore stomach - got

Resolved Question:

Vomiting up bile
On Friday night I got a sore stomach - got swollen and very hard
Saturday morning I woke up with nausea, vertigo and sweating, and then vomited.
Felt better after vomiting, it was greenish at first, but subsequently was yellow.
I drank lemon water with bit of honey to try and hydrate, then tried a little bit of pear,
felt nauseous again and threw up again. Just had chamomile tea in the evening.
On Sunday at first felt better, but after drinking and then trying a bit of pear, it all came up again. Had peppermint tea which seemed to stay down. Then tried a bit of boiled courgette, but that came up as well.
Today I'm feeling weak and tired. Have had some lemon water, wondering if I should try some apple, or just stick to liquids?

Thank you for your reply. No fever after Saturday morning. My stomach is better but still a bit bloated.
No diarrhea. On Saturday I did have 3 foul smelling bowel movements. None since, I feel as if I'm a bit blocked there now? Or maybe because everything has just come up instead of going down.
No dizziness now.
No medications.
Non smoker and very occasional drinker.
Have had heartburn every now and then, and feels like I have it now again.
A few months ago I did have pain in my gallbladder which I believe might have been caused by taking too much turmeric.
I treated it with diet and apple cider vinegar and it went away after a week.
I do also suffer from post nasal drip.

Thanks for all these additional information.

I understand your concern.

Well as you describe, possible cause may include Gastroenteritis.

And you should hydrate yourself with gatorade first.

Avoid pear, apple and take only banana.

You should try yogurt and toast, boiled rice in small amount.

Take OTC Emetrol for nausea and vomiting.

Also take OTC Zantac 150 mg after meals.

You should try Mylanta gas and metamucil.

Also start a probiotic which regulates your gut flora.

Monitor your blood pressure also.

Take proper rest.

Also post nasal drip can be caused due to acid reflux so you should try saline gargles.

If you 'll be unable to keep liquids down then see a doctor ASAP for prompt management.

Thank you very much for your advice, I will try the foods you suggest.
I haven't vomited today, but also haven't eaten anything yet. Will try a banana first.
If I do vomit today, should I see a doctor tomorrow?

Thanks for the follow-up.

Sorry for late reply and inconvenience.

You should take OTC Emetrol first and then after 20 minutes try to eat mashed banana.

Hydrate yourself with gatorade.

And gradually introduce liquid to semi-solid to solid food.

Possibly you feel better in next few days.

And see your doctor if you vomited again after such self care measures.

Hope this helps.
